What We Believe

Our Core Beliefs

God's Word

We believe in the authority and relevancy of God’s Word. We base our faith upon God’s Word as recorded in the Bible and purpose to apply His Word to every aspect of our lives.

Intimacy with God

We believe personal faith in Christ is the only way to God, and growing in Christ requires intimacy with God that is nurtured by sincere prayer, heartfelt worship and step-by-step obedience.
1 Timothy 2:5; John 15:5

Genuine, supportive relationships

We believe that growing in Christ requires mutually encouraging, healthy relationships with other believers.
John 15:12-13; Hebrews 3:13

Integrity before God and others

We believe that growing in Christ requires openness and honesty before the ever-present God and others -- developing Christ-like character by confessing sin, repenting, learning and obeying.
Galatians 5:22; 1 John 1:9; Philippians 3:12-14

Giftedness of all believers

We believe that all believers have been given gifts by God and that growing in Christ requires the discovery of our gifts and the willingness to use our gifts, skills, time and resources to bless others and bring glory to God.
1 Corinthians 12; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Our Core Commitments

We are committed to doing life together. We believe that the small group/mentoring relationships are the most strategic place for growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are committed to teaching people how to live a life that reflects God’s Word. We believe God’s Word is inerrant and our guide to following Christ.

We are committed to being a house of prayer. We believe that our dependence on God through prayer will directly impact our influence in building God’s kingdom.

We are committed to worshipping God with our lifestyle. We believe that we are to live lives that will honor God through everything we do.

We are committed to a missional ministry. We believe that we are called to influence our culture with the message of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world.
